I want the approval of the crown, so I work to fit in. But inside of me there’s a gnawing feeling. A feeling like I’m missing something. Missing an opportunity to lead. An opportunity to be more than a follower. I wasn’t meant to follow all the time. I was meant to lead on occasion. Why am I so deep in the pack? I need to get in front and lead. To show the leadership qualities I have been given for the benefit of all. It’s not about my ego, it’s about leadership. Sometimes I get to lead. Will it be today? Will I step up today?
